I had an absolutely terrible experience at Rock Kayak Co in Morro Bay. The front desk worker was incredibly rude, blunt, and acted like he couldn’t care less about being there. From the moment we arrived, he was dismissive, unhelpful, and had an attitude like he was doing us a favor just by acknowledging us. Instead of providing any basic customer service, he made us feel like we were inconveniencing him. If you’re looking for a place that values its customers, go somewhere else. There are plenty of other rental spots here where staff actually treat people with respect. I wouldn’t waste my time or money here again.

No wait or reservation needed. We were able to walk up and get kayaks same day on the weekend. Affordable and fun! Don’t recommend going when the tide is going in lol unless you have great upper body strength. Got to see some wildlife and explore the opposite bank of the bay :-)

The staff was friendly and helpful. They even helped me in and out of the kayak without falling in! Kayaking around where the staff suggested brought me face to flipper with sea lions, a leopard seal, and adorable sea otters!

My friend and I rented a kayak and paddle board here, and it was the best experience I had from this trip. We rented about 4 hours and it was pretty cheap. Much better deal than other places in this area when I looked up. The curly guy who works there was so friendly and kind, he nicely explained about the area and all the guide lines. He deserves 5 stars and good tips from all the customers. Definitely coming back again!

Called and reserved 2 kayaks. Checked in, had a quick overview from the staff, and got into the kayaks. They provided dry bags to keep your valuables safe and dry in the kayak. We had a nice 1hr+ kayaking session with our kids near Morro Rock. Will do this again and would recommend to others.
