Bed was clean and comfortable. Hotel was quiet. But there were lots of broken things, including the ice machine. Staff at the front is terrible- rude and not helpful. It’s a family that runs it. I heard the son telling a customer that they can have dinner at Taco Bell when they asked for a recommendation. I got there a half hour before check in and he refused to talk to me then I was told 2 hours later when I went to check in that I should have checked with them earlier about the rooms. They did not have the suite we reserved and gave us a regular room but I had to argue with them to get the price difference. They had lots of excuses as to why they weren’t able to reimburse me- unethical practices and were overall very rude. They also overcharged for the dogs and charged tax on the dog fee. We only stayed here because it was a last minute trip and we had dogs with us. Never again.

Upon arriving I was informed that they were completely sold out for the night and that there was a leak near our room that caused it to become flooded. They told me that my room carpets were mildy damp. I booked this reservation months in advance. I also didn’t arrive at the hotel till 4pm. So by the time I arrived every other hotel was sold out. They should have called before I arrived so I could make other arrangements. I was stuck. When entering the room the floors were actually very wet. Enough to where it made a slush sound when walking on it. The rooms were not ver clean everything was dusty the bathroom door had two holes in it. The walls were also paper thin so you can hear everything going on. I will not be returning to this place. I should have listened to the other reviews

I can't comprehend how bad this place is. I had to cancel last minute due to a medical issue (I had to take my mom to urgent care). They have a no-refund cancellation policy - fine. My insurance covers trip interruptions caused due to medical issues. However, they require a document for proof of cancellation / no-show. Sounds easy enough, right? Guess what they refused to send me or the third party (through which I booked) any information. It was so absurd I couldn't believe it and I blanked out for a few seconds! Absolutely ridiculous

The rooms are a solid 3 stars, offering nothing particularly fancy. We paid an extra $25 fee for our dog. The receptionist was extremely nice and friendly, informing us that all "dog-friendly rooms" are located on the lower first floor. We didn't mind, as our room faced the bay. The location was convenient, situated within a state park with plenty of parking and facing the Morro Rock! However, my only complaint is that our room wasn't very clean. It was spacious, but the cleanliness was not there. The bed rest was super dusty, and the sink wall had what appeared to be limescale or mold. The bathroom door was damaged, likely from previous guests locking their dogs inside. The shower also had limescale, and there was no window in the bathroom. There were plenty of windows in the unit for natural lighting but all of the windows looked yucky and dusty. Overall, it wasn't one of my favorite hotels, but it wasn't terrible either.

The only thing good is the location. Heater wires were pulled out of the wall and they informed us they could do nothing about it. connected to the Wi-Fi and wasn’t able to use any of my streaming services while connected to their Wi-Fi. The TV does not work. It had a mildew smell to it. I will never stay here again. I’m glad it was for only one night.
