The mission inn has always been a delight for me even as a kid growing up. Around Christmas time they decorate the entire thing with lights and it's quite a sight to see. As a family we went to eat at the inside restaurant for brunch and it was delicious. They have a Mexican food restaurant that I enjoy going to. Around the mission Inn are little shops, that I'm sure you'll find comforting just as I do.

We visited last year for Memorial Day weekend and it was nice. The Holidays lights made this visit an unforgettable one 😍🤩 Please note 🎅 does have a tight schedule! Make sure you have enough time before they close. Enjoy!

Charming collage town. Plenty of free parking and public restrooms. So many shops and restaurants. Patios all over the streets so don’t worry it’s open here. Take your masks and hand sanitizer and you are good to go. The mission is closed but you can see it outside and enjoy the gardens all around it. Enjoy locale artists at the galleries and enjoy the San Louis obispo creek running through downtown.

Visited: 13/06/2023 Really beautiful plaza in downtown San Luis Obispo. There is a short river walk, outdoor seating, a fountain with bear statues, and the Mission de Tolsa which rings beautiful bells. All next to the shopping street too. Most interesting is the Art Museum near by with sculptures outside (it was closed the day we visited unfortunately). And along the river you can find the 'Moon Tree' nicknamed as the seed travelled to space and back before being planted.

Beautiful area outside the San Luis Obispo mission. Lots of plants and it's nice and quiet by a gentle creek.
