This is a fun historical location for both locals and travelers. There are always activities and entertainment on the weekends in the park. They have daily tours of commission. Plus the mission is still operational mass services daily. The garden is cute, and the people are very friendly and knowledgeable. Stop by the gift shop to pick up a little smack to help support 200-year-old building.

Mission San Luis Obispo, tucked away in a small and peaceful town, offers a unique and intimate experience. As my mother and I travel through California, we love stopping at missions like this, where the quiet beauty and history come together. El encanto relajado de la ciudad, con sus amables habitantes y sus pequeñas tiendas, invita a reducir el ritmo y disfrutar de estar fuera de los caminos trillados. Reflecting on the indigenous, Spanish, and Mexican influences here reminds us of the richness in these smaller, often overlooked places. It’s a stop that feels both meaningful and peaceful.

Really enjoyed the walk around this Mission. Pretty little gardens and fountain. Unfortunately, I arrived after closing, so I can't speak to the inside, but the outside is lovely and well kept. The bells both in the bell tower and rear garden we very pretty!
