We were delighted to stay at this hotel! It has a great location—close to shops and restaurants and just a couple of blocks from the ocean despite this, it is a quiet place. Clean and cozy. I definitely recommend it!

This is a collection of cottages broken into rooms. We had the Executive Ocean View Suite with a pull-out couch for our teenager to sleep in. The bed was comfortable. The pull-out was more of a convertible couch that simply folded flat into a bed. Firm. It worked okay, though. The room was an okay size, about the size of a typical hotel room. Not a "suite". We could just see the ocean from the deck or the windows, through a tangle of utility wires. The exterior is a bit old, and the weekend we were there, they were painting and repairing the outside, an added inconvenience, but it didn't get in our way. The only real issue we had was that there was no hot water in the shower. It was lukewarm, at best. The beach was an easy stroll away, so we walked down there to watch the sun set.

The location is awesome - you're just a short walk away from the ocean. We stayed in the Oak room...it was very clean (although pretty dark and cramped, not like the description online), but we had A LOT of issues with noise from the room above. We could hear every footstep and movement clearly, with the floor above creaking loudly. As someone who is not typically bothered by a little noise, it was excessive and made it really difficult to fall asleep at night. I also want to note that the picture of the bathroom listed under the Oak room on the website is not at all the same as what we had there. Summary: For the price, we were really hoping for a better experience :( if you are booking a ground floor room, be aware that you'll be able to clearly hear EVERY movement from rooms above.

It's located right by the Carmel beach - great location! The rooms are very small and cozy. The mattress n pillows were so soft that we got neck pain lasting a week. The bathroom smelled a bit of sewage - maybe due to old plumbing system. The room came with breakfast included but there was nothing in the BF. It was supposed to be continental but they only had coffee which also was really bad. For $400 we didnt get anything we should have except the location.

Drove 6 hours from Nevada for a little getaway with my husband. When we arrived they told us they had overbooked and had no rooms for us because their system had overbooked without their knowledge even though we booked directly on their website. They tried booking us at a new place and when we got to it no booking had been made so instead of an equivalent room we got a lesser room. No efforts were made to remedy the situation or offer anything in the way of service. If you book this place call and confirm because you may show up and get nothing with zero remorse.
