I recently stayed at the Curtiss Hotel in downtown Buffalo and had a truly impressive experience. Room 606 was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed. Property & Amenities: This hotel is hi-tech, ultra-modern, and truly lives up to a 5-star standard. From smart room controls to luxury finishes, everything feels thoughtfully designed. The spa, gym, rooftop lounge, and breakfast were all exceptional—clean, well-managed, and offered an elevated experience. Service & Loyalty Recognition: While the overall service was good, I was disappointed that my Choice Privileges Diamond Elite status was not acknowledged at check-in or during my stay. A warm welcome and recognition for elite members would make loyal guests feel more valued and appreciated. Location: The hotel’s location in the heart of downtown Buffalo is unbeatable—walking distance to restaurants, entertainment, and key city attractions. Suggestions for Improvement: • Greet and recognize Choice Elite members at check-in. • Offer loyalty perks or a welcome note for Diamond Elite guests. • Ensure staff is aware of elite status and associated benefits. Despite this, I highly recommend Curtiss Hotel for its luxury, amenities, and location. I’ll definitely be returning

Have stayed here a couple times - very nice rooms, with touchscreen display to control all lighting/blinds/temp, and the most advanced shower I've ever used - best shower experience I've had at a hotel with huge bathroom and shower. Good bed. Pretty good restaurant in the hotel.

Buffalo’s only 5 star hotel with a 1 star continental breakfast. The rooms are amazing and very high tech, however, the bed was very uncomfortable. My wife and I felt the bed was uneven. The next morning got even worse. We went down for the continental breakfast and there was no milk or spoons for the cereal, the pastries were hard, the granola bars they served were stale and expired, and the toaster for the bagels seemed as though it was on its last life as it took 10 minutes to barely toast a bagel. The staff at the hotel were mostly great. They were all very polite and helpful. Unfortunately the gentleman working the breakfast was not very personable and would go missing for long periods of time. It wasn’t all negative though hence the 3 stars. The showers in the rooms were amazing, the hot springs were a wonderful amenity, and the rooftop bar was a great attraction. Not sure if we would ever stay again though.

Recently stayed overnight at the Curtis Hotel in Buffalo with my family while attending a Buffalo Bandits game and doing some cross-border shopping. The entire experience was excellent! The rooms were clean, modern, and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our stay, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The hot springs were a great way to relax after a busy day. While enjoyable, could definitely use a deep cleaning—there was some green algae-like buildup along the sides and near where the cover rolls out. That said, it didn’t take away too much from an otherwise great experience. We’d definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing stay in Buffalo

We had a corner room with a spectacular view and a jacuzzi tub. Dinner at Chez Ami was delicious. But the showstopper was the hot springs. Relaxing in it while the snow was falling was a memorable experience. The rooftop bartender was awesome! He made amazing drinks and was friendly and fun to talk to. The servers at breakfast and dinner were nice and friendly. Room service was prompt and helpful. The only thing keeping this from being a 5-Star review was the rotating bar that didn't rotate. When we told the bartender that was one of the main reasons we chose the hotel she said she turned it off to step out of the bar and would turn it back on. She never did. When we told the young lady at checkout that this morning, she gave a flippant, "sorry". That was a disappointing ending to a nearly perfect stay. She didn't ask how our stay was at all, or thank us for coming. The face of the hotel at the front desk should be friendlier, and definitively could use more training in customer service.
