The staff is friendly and attentive, and the hotel’s nostalgic decor is fabulous throughout—perfect for photos at every turn. The pool area is stunning, and the on-site restaurants are absolutely fantastic. The entire hotel recently underwent a renovation, and everything its absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We’ve had the pleasure of doing hair and makeup for corporate events, VIP events, and weddings here for many years and —always a seamless, top-tier experience. Thank you, Lafayette ! A++!

I should have wrote this review years ago when it happened but in 2022 I brought a man with me on vacation for my birthday to San Diego, I found out while on vacation with him that he had been seeing another woman for the past year. I informed the staff when I came back to the hotel without him about what was happening, they immediately jumped into action and had him removed from the reservation and removed from the property after collecting his things. The staff gave me a hand written card with all sorts of positive words for me (I still have the card), a bottle of champagne and some chocolates, as well as called me a few hours later to check on me to make sure I was okay. I will never forget what they did for me, thank you so much for taking the extra effort to acknowledge my feelings about the situation.

Most fun hotel I’ve ever stayed in by far. Was here before the multi million dollar revamp but this was my first stay. It has a beautiful pool+bar, a brand new diner, a bowling alley+bar, a Mexican restaurant+bar, and a Jazz club+bar. You could spend a week here and have a great time without ever leaving the property. The themes are all rustic and alternative wherever you go, the rooms are clean and comfortable with a very classic feel. In the center of North Park it’s so easy to get anywhere in the city, there is nowhere better to stay.

Giving 5 stars because for anything this place lacks it makes up for 10 fold with everything else they provide. The on site restaurants are incredible as well as all the signature cocktails. The night life/ day time atmosphere is lively and always a fun crowd. The esthetic of the rooms and the property as a whole are amazing. With New Orleans being one of our other favorite vacations this place would be a gem even if it were in the French quarters itself. My only complaints being the A/c even set at cold struggles to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. don’t plan on being able to warm up food/ left overs from a night out of eating. Our room doesn’t have a microwave I’m not sure if that’s the case for all of them and they won’t reheat anything for you given food codes and what not. Lastly it would be nice if they had some type of full size mirror for a fit check before you hit the town. But all in all a stunning and accommodating place to stay. I’ll recommend to anyone planning a trip in the area

We had a great stay at the Lafayette Hotel! The vibe is retro-chic with a modern twist—super stylish and full of character. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the pool area was a total highlight: lively, beautiful, and perfect for relaxing or people-watching. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the location in North Park made it easy to walk to great restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay here again for a fun weekend getaway!
