This is our second time staying at this location and it was a pleasant surprise. This trip we got to stay in one of the lovely cottages and it was amazing! Very spacious for the kids, wife and myself. And had all the amenities we needed. The parking lot was close by so it made it easy to get the luggage to the room easily. The included breakfast was simple to get a quick bite before exploring the town. And the location of the hotel is very close to town so walking around is great if you want to leave the car to explore on foot.

We had a cottage. Very spacious, clean, many amenities including hot tub and fireplace. We enjoyed the full set of dishes. Nice wine tasting in the evening. Lots of good outdoor spaces to sit and enjoy a fire or just relax. Breakfast included eggs, bacon, bread, yogurt, bananas, oranges and sugar cereals. Good, hot coffee. The location was great. Just off the main drag, so nice and quiet. And the cottages are in a back, garden area so they feel very peaceful after the hectic pace of the town. The Peasant across the street had great lunch. And Whiskey and Rye had really good steak salad!

We had a wonderful stay at Wine Valley Inn & Cottages! The location is perfect—right in the heart of Solvang, walking distance to shops, restaurants, and wine tasting rooms. Great breakfast with everything we needed! A perfect start to our day in Solvang! Our room was cozy, clean, and charming, with a peaceful atmosphere. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience was relaxing and memorable. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Solvang!

Was traveling as a family of 3 (with a toddler) for a night in Solvang. Enjoyed the convenient location, super friendly service from the front desk, and complimentary breakfast! We even loaned a board game from the front desk to enjoy as our night entertainment. The room is clean and the location is generally quiet (not on the main street in Solvang but everything is within walkable distance here). My son loved checking out the koi fish in the beautiful pond here!! The only down side is that the water/pipe sound is super loud here (maybe we were staying on the first floor??...). My son got waken up more than once at night and in the early morning with the water whistling, banging, and squeaking sound. I bet the soundproof wall isn't working that well or the property may just be a bit outdated... If you're sensitive to sound/noise, may need to ask for special accommodations (maybe on the 2nd floor?? we didn't ask as it was kinda late at night...) Otherwise, we truly enjoyed the stay.

I booked a room with two queen beds through Capitol One. When I arrived, they said that on their end it says a single queen room, and they had no other rooms available. They asked to see my confirmation screen, of which I showed them which did say two queen beds. Their response was that it's not their fault, so I have to contact Capitol One. I called Capitol one, and they said they will speak to the hotel and asked me to call back in 24 hours. I called back in 24 hours, and they said they are still trying to work with the hotel. Apparently, the hotel will not look at it until after we check out. The agent also asked me if the hotel offered any compensation; I said no because they said it's not their fault. The agent was puzzled and said that's not true. So I called back after we checked out, and Capitol One still has not heard an update from the hotel. They contacted the hotel, of which they said they will not offer anything because I "accepted the terms of the agreement" by staying in the single queen room. I don't understand all the trouble. If that was going to be the answer, then why go through the trouble of having me check back everyday while I'm trying to enjoy my vacation? It also felt shady to tell me that I "accepted the terms of the agreement" even though there were no other rooms available and they acknolwedged that I was charged a double queen room price for a single queen room. I don't appreciate the hotel making more money off of me for staying in a downgraded room. I also don't appreciate that they wasted my time checking back daily for an update during my vacation. Besides the stress they put me through, the beds were comfy and I enjoyed the danishes they provide during breakfast. I also appreciate the text updates for when they have their wine hour. My criticism of the room is that the bathroom is too small as the door hits the sink when you open it. Also, the fireplace didn't radiate any heat, and the controls didn't seem to do anything besides turning the flame on. As far as location goes, it's a fantastic location. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back to this hotel as I lost trust in the booking process of this hotel, as well as lost trust in how hotel manages issues. I hope they can improve for their future guests. Edit: I forgot to mention that on the first day, the receptionist said the best they can offer is a rollaway bed since there were no other available rooms. It wasn't ideal because rollaway beds are just not very comfy, but I appreciated the offer from the receptionist.
