Stayed here for business. The location is great and convenient. It's situated where it's quiet enough to enjoy morning walks. There are a few gas stations and food locations just down the street. Solvang is about 10-15mins from the hotel, so for those who are looking to stay by Solvang but don't like the crowd, this place would be perfect. They do not have a microwave in the room, but there's one all guests can use at the lobby inside the convenience store. The hotel's convenient store is probably one of the best I've seen. They have essentials, enacks, desserts to merchandise. I took a photo of the menu they had during the time of my stay, which was just a few weeks ago. Housekeeping is by request or, as I was told, during the 3rd day of your stay. I ran out of coffee essentials, so I requested some, but due to staffing, I never got one. I waited the entire afternoon til night time, and the front desk I was talking to assured me that housekeeping was aware. I checked the next morning, but still none. With the change of shifts, I spoke to a different agent. She was kind enough to do it herself. The bathroom is spacious. It had the handheld shower, which was nice. The elevator was confusing at first. The gym is on the ground floor. They had a water station, a locker (yes, not just a restroom but an actual locker room), a fruit basket, sanitizing wipes, and towels for use. There were a few non-peloton bikes that the screen wasn't working on but still usable if you do your own videos or routine work.

We had a great stay at the Marriott Santa Ynez Valley in Buelton. I had a very restful sleep in their comfortable bed. I couldn't hear the neighbors next to us. Sometimes, I can hear people in the hallway. All the hallways are interior ones. Our room and the overall resort were very clean. The room itself is very spacious with a sitting area, desk, and mini-fridge. There are two restaurants on-site. Check-in and check-out were smooth processes. The staff are friendly, courteous, professional, and efficient. There is no bell desk service. We used their bell carts for self-service in transporting our own luggage. Kudos to the front desk and housekeeping staff.

Up to this point, we have had positive experiences with Marriott brands. We exclusively use our Bonvoy membership and Chase card for travel. We never checked in at this location. We made a mistake of booking a nonrefundable rate and was charged the entire stay on the day we originally planned on checking out. I just happened to check my email and came in contact with the checkout receipt. With back and forth, run around with Santa Ynez front office staff conversations (requests for screenshots of advanced cancellation confirmation numbers, email forwards, card number reserved under etc.) and never speaking to a manager, we are left with a terrible taste in our mouth especially because we still rebooked with another Marriott property for the same time (plus one day). My family is out $500 and all Roslynn was able to say is “I’m sorry, ma’am but this is my manager’s decision” When I tried to call back moments later to see if I could speak to management, the phone kept ringing and nobody answered. Bonvoy customer service was not able to help us either, sadly. We are currently considering another brand for our hotel and travel needs.

Horrible experience!!! I stayed with my family (wife and 4 year old son) at this hotel. They were kind enough to give us a booking same night as we arrived, but oh my god, there was a big party with incredible noise next door and it took past midnight till they shut it down. I've never slept on such an uncomfortable mattress as this one. Spend $250 a night and had to put another $200 on top to get deep body massage afterwards with the pain in my back I left with from the two night stay.... Never again!

The hotel was in a great location. Close to Market, shops and restaurants. Perfect for families visiting Solvang and the Ostrich farm. We had a comfortable stay. Our room was clean and we appreciated the mini fridge in the room. Was hesitant to stay here due to the negative comments but fortunately, we had a great experience and would stay here again.
