Absolutely love nature and the walk by the Discovery center is perfect. The staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking, easy access to this location. There are restrooms inside the building. There is an amphitheater outside and a couple different trails. If you enjoy being outdoors definitely get some big bear air.

The inside part is mostly taxidermy stuff but still pretty cool. The outdoor nature loop is what we took and it was short and fun. The play area was cool for our almost 5 year old but older kids may struggle to be entertained. The loop took about an hour at a 5 year olds pace.

The Discovery Center was a lot of fun. We got to explore their displays, learn lots, and visit their gift shop. Their staff was super informative and friendly. They also have a trail right outside that is shirt and sweet and a kids playground area. We had fun!

It took me a while to realize this place existed. Came with the whole family. The kids enjoyed learning about the animals in Big Bear. Have to come back to enjoy the nature tour.

Kids had an absolute blast!! One of the volunteers, Michael, was so great with my oldest and taught him all about the local wildlife. My sons loved seeing all of the animal displays, touching different furs and learning all about the different kinds of teeth animals have from Michael! The nature discovery zone outside was also a hit, the kids spent over an hour climbing and building outside. They were so ready for lunch and a nap after this adventure!
